I recently attended the initial BPPP with my wife attending your companion course in Tulsa, OK. I found the course very beneficial and informative. The instructors presented the information in a way that made it easy to understand and fun to learn. My wife now understands the fundamentals of flying and encourages me to pursue my passion of flight; not to mention she enjoys helping out and learning more every step of the way.
The weather forced many of us to take rain checks for the flying portion of class. I recently met up with Gerry Parker in Houston to complete the course. It was a pleasure to fly with Gerry. His personal approach and adaptive teaching (to my level of knowledge and ability) created a forum for me to really absorb the information. As a relatively new IFR pilot with little actual time in the clouds, I learned so much during my time with Gerry. We had the wonderful experience to fly in IMC. After I was able to knock off the rust we found some clear air and did things with our A36 that I had never done nor thought possible.
I'm now a better and safer pilot having gone through the BPPP.
