The BPPP Recurrent Course
The BPPP Recurrent Course starts on Friday at 9 AM (class check-in starts around 8 AM) and continues through 1 PM on Sunday, for a total of two and a half days days. In that time you will participate in more than 12 hours of ground school and about 4 hours of flying in your aircraft.
Note that due to recent scheduling requirements, we will need some Recurrent pilots to fly on Sunday morning from 8 AM to 1 PM. We prefer to fill the Sunday Recurrent slots with Recurrent volunteers. If you are willing to fly on Sunday please so indicate on your registration form. We appreciate your help. Thank you.
Our Recurrent Course for returning BPPP attendees builds on the material presented in our Type-Specific Course. The Recurrent Course was completely revamped in 2004, and was most recently updated again in the summer of 2008. If it's been awhile since you've attended a BPPP session, you're in for something new!
New Recurrent Course Features:
- Classes designed specifically for returning pilots (especially for those who participate in our Recurrent Course annually)
- Block of changing theme lectures
- Saturday lectures now in hotel classroom
The new recurrent curriculum presents a block of lectures centered on a theme. It also includes highlights of the type-specific core curriculum, as well as updates of the most popular lectures. The theme changes periodically and is selected based on customer requests.
We've also updated our Saturday ground school to include a very important module discussing WAAS approaches.
